In Mark 1–7, Jesus emerges as a powerful healer, deliverer, and teacher. He speaks with authority as he drives out evil spirits, calms storms, and heals the sick. But he’s more than just a miracle worker.
He’s a rule breaker. He touches a leper, eats with the wrong crowd, and rebukes the rule enforcers for their hypocrisy. He prefers to show compassion and stand for truth than to follow human traditions.
